Bryan’s Week 4 Picks

Let’s take a look at all the games, using spreads published on Tuesday (unless there’s a drastic change since then for some reason).

By the way, I’ve been fighting a bugger of a head cold this week, so you only get one sentence per game. Here we go…

Last Week: 7-9
Year to Date: 24-24

On bye this week: NE, TEN

BAL @ PIT (+2.5)

Missed it by that much…

I took the Steelers.

NYJ @ MIA (+2.5) <— In London

Miami has been trailing after the first quarter in 39 of their last 51 games.

I’m taking the Jets.

JAX @ IND (-9.5)

Andrew Luck’s right shoulder ain’t feeling so swell and that’s too many points.

I’m taking the Jags.

HOU @ ATL (-6.5)

Another comeback win for Atlanta, but no cover.

I’m taking the Texans.

KC @ CIN (-3.5)

Too many weapons in Cincy for the Chiefs to keep it close.

I’m taking the Bengals.

NYG @ BUF (-6.5)

Feels like a “Just when you count out Eli” game.

I’m taking the Giants.

OAK @ CHI (+2.5)

Their schedule is about to get really tough, but I think the Raiders get to 3-1 against John Fox’s Bad News Bears.

I’m taking the Raiders.

PHL @ WAS (+3.5)

Feels like a field goal game, but I still believe Chip Kelly is a genius.

I’m taking the Eagles.

CAR @ TB (+3.5)

This line feels too low, which normally pushes me to the underdog…but I’m kind of all in on Cam this year.

I’m taking the Panthers.

CLE @ SD (-7.5)

Changing my pick to the Browns on this one because of San Diego’s offensive line issues.

I’m taking the Browns.

MIN @ DEN (-6.5)

The Vikings’ defense knows how to get after quarterbacks…I think this is a sneaky big test for Manning…and I think he passes.

I’m taking the Broncos.

GB @ SF (+9.5)

Cringing as I take the points (although this line is now down to Niners +8).

I’m taking the Niners.

STL @ ARI (-6.5)

Gladly giving less than a TD to a team that has trouble scoring a single TD.

I’m taking the Cardinals.

DAL @ NO (-4.5)

Brees or no Brees, the Saints can’t win at home lately. Hashtag crazy.

I’m taking the Cowboys.

DET @ SEA (-9.5)

Something is awry in Detroit, and a trip to Seattle is not going to make it any better.

I’m taking the Seahawks.
